Avid Customers Score Big at the 57th Annual GRAMMY Awards

Avid (Nasdaq: AVID) today congratulated its many award-winning and nominated customers at the 57th Annual GRAMMY Awards for their outstanding achievements in the recording arts. At the ceremony on February 8 in Los Angeles, the prestigious, peer-recognized awards for music excellence were presented to numerous artists, producers and engineers that have embraced Avid Everywhere , using the Avid MediaCentral Platform and Avid Artist Suite creative tools for music production.

Avid audio professionals created GRAMMY Award winners including Album of the Year Morning Phase by Beck and Record of the Year and Song of the Year Stay With Me (Darkchild Version) by Sam Smith.

As bass player on Album of the Year and Best Rock Album Morning Phase by Beck, and producer of Best Rock Song Aint It Fun by Paramore, Justin Meldal Johnsen celebrated a successful night. It feels really good to produce a record that gets recognized with a GRAMMY, but the real honor belongs to Paramore themselves, he said. They came at this album as underdogs, but they knew what they wanted and got there with pure intention, hard work, and solid integrity. We used Pro Tools for everything from demos to mixing on this record and it really paid off the whole process was as smooth as silk.
