Wondersmi brings home eleven top 05 Charlotte ADDY awards...

On the night of Thurs., March 5, Wondersmiths principals Joe Murray and Thom Blackburn had a lot to celebrate, bringing home eleven top honors at the annual Charlotte ADDY Awards ceremony.

Joe and Thom officially launched their creative production company earlier this year, and among the nights wins were two for their website (http://wondersmith.tv): a Gold ADDY in the Advertising Self-Promotion category, and the Copywriting Best of Show prize. Working under Joe and Thoms direction, the site was designed by Todd Dack, developed by Robbie Player and written by Steve Lasch and Keith Greenstein.

Next, Wondersmiths collaboration with Trone Brand Energy for North State involving director of photography Florian Stadler, VFX lead Byron Nash and other illustrious talents earned three Gold ADDYs, two Silver ADDYs, and the Animation and Special Effects Best of Show honor.

From among more than 340 entries in total, the ADDY judges also selected two of Wondersmiths direct-to-client projects for recognition. A spot for Poulan Pro directed by Thom and shot by director of photography Maher Maleh won a Gold ADDY for cinematography and a Silver ADDY in the Television category, while a Husqvarna spot (also shot by Maher Maleh) earned a Silver ADDY for cinematography.

Were honored to be recognized alongside these other stellar creative talents, Joe began. Thom and I have both been part of the Charlotte creative scene for many years. This years awards are a direct result of combining our strengths to produce outstanding work for our clients.
