Nautel Names Fred Baumgartner TV Product Manager

Baumgartner will lead Nautel's development and sales process for Nautel TV products.

Hackett's Cove, Nova Scotia Nautel has announced the appointment of Fred Baumgartner as TV Product Manager. In this newly created position at Nautel, Baumgartner will lead the research, development, production and marketing process for television products at the company and will work closely with Nautel industry partners as well as the R&D, sales and marketing teams at Nautel.

Baumgartner has more than 30 years' experience in the broadcast industry. He has served as Chief Engineer for KDVR-TV, Denver; WTTV-TV, Indianapolis; KHOW AM & FM, Denver; and WIBA AM & FM, Madison. Fred was Director of Broadcast Engineering for Qualcomm's MediaFLO broadcast TV project and Comcast Media Center, at that time the world's largest television uplink and distribution facility. He also led Leitch's systems engineering group and was a Director with Harris Broadcast's Emerging Business Opportunity group. He has authored hundreds of articles and two books on TV engineering. He also led product development efforts for TFT and AT&T. Fred Baumgartner, CPBE, is a Fellow of the Society of Broadcast Engineers and Radio Club of America, and a Trustee of the Ennes Educational Foundation.
