SmartJog is one of the latest to support Sony's content/workflow management system
Las Vegas, April 8, 2013 SmartJog and Sony Electronics are proud to announce that their joint clients can benefit from full interoperability between the Sony Media Backbone Enterprise Management System (MBEMS) and the SmartJog digital delivery platform and its new Cloud4Media global solution.
We are honored and thrilled to have completed this collaboration with the Sony Media Backbone team in the US and Japan, said Christiane Ducasse, President of SmartJog USA, a subsidiary of SmartJog based in Los Angeles. As a result, Sony is now offering an adaptor to the SmartJog platform to their clients.
Sony's Media Backbone Solutions family is designed to support the widest range of complementary products and technologies, said Wayne Zuchowski, Marketing Manager for Media Backbone Solutions at Sony Electronics. The compatibility with the SmartJog cloud storage and delivery platform extends the workflow management potential to a global network of media companies inter-connected via the SmartJog platform. We are proud of our collaboration with SmartJog on this new solution.
SmartJog, a TDF Group company based in Paris, Los Angeles and Madrid, provides the media industry, including the US studios, post houses, TV distributors, VOD platforms, etc., with a global managed service for the electronic distribution and cloud storage of digital files. With clients in 65 countries and more than 2 000 connected sites to its private network, SmartJog is expanding its services in 2013 to include a unique SaaS Cloud4Media global solution for digital storage, repurposing and secure media exchange.
The Media Backbone Enterprise Management System (MBEMS) is based on Sony's Media Backbone Conductor software and utilizes an enterprise-level SOA-based IT platform. It adds media applications designed to scale to meet the needs of the world's largest facilities while maintaining management simplicity. By its very nature, MBEMS is open, providing a long list of third-party application interfaces.
The Media Backbone Enterprise Management System is now including a SmartJog Adapter that enables Sony's clients to easily control and manage a SmartJog delivery using the MBEMS user interface.
