Women's Euros, Women's Rugby World Cup, European Hockey Championships, GAA Championships, World Athletics Championships, Irish Open, Horse Racing and much more free-to-air on RT across all platforms.
RT Sport announced 90 days of free-to-air live action which promises to leave you on the edge of your seat as we support our national and international teams. RT presenters Paul O'Flynn and Marie Crowe were joined by athletes and players from a range of sports including athletics, camogie, golf, hockey, rugby and soccer at the launch in Sport Ireland. They will all feature live on RT this summer across video, audio, and online with exclusive coverage of local, national, and international sporting events.
Women's sport will be at the forefront of this exciting summer schedule with RT leading the way in bringing minute-by-minute coverage across the board, including the Women's Euros, the European Hockey Championships, and Women's Rugby World Cup.
Speaking about the new season, Declan McBennett, Group Head of Sport, RT said:
The breadth of sport available to our audience this year is outstanding with the three major tournaments across rugby, hockey and athletics complementing the climax to the GAA codes. It is both brilliant and important that much of the focus will be on the very best of our female sports stars either at national or international level. These events will further cement the position of female sport at the centre of Irish life increasing visibility, interest, support, attendance, and participation while showcasing the depth of Irish sporting talent.
The action kicks off with the Republic of Ireland women's national soccer team heading stateside for international friendlies in Colorado and Ohio on June 26 and June 29, with the Women's Euros in Switzerland coming in hot in July. All four days of the KPMG Women's Irish Open from Carton House will be live on RT Player from June 30, with the final two rounds also live on RT One and RT Radio 1.
In August, the spotlight shifts to home soil as the All-Ireland Camogie Championship finals air live on RT . The month continues with back-to-back elite competition as the European Hockey Championships and the Women's Rugby World Cup bring high-stakes drama to screens, with RT proudly backing the Girls and Boys in Green every step of the way.
RT continues to bring live coverage of the GAA Championships, with all roads leading to Croker as the All-Ireland hurling, football, and camogie finals take to the live stage. Coverage of the Tailteann Cup will also be available across RT platforms. Don't miss our real-time GAA coverage across video, audio, and online across RT One, RT Player, RT Radio 1, RT Raidi Na Gaeltachta, RT Radio app, RT .ie, and RT GAA Podcast.
Athletics will come into focus in August with the National Championships and in September with the World Athletics Championships taking place in Tokyo as Irish athletes hope to add a few more medals to the trophy cabinet. The Republic of Ireland men's international soccer begin their World Cup qualification campaign with games against Hungary and Armenia in September.
RT has announced, in partnership with the HRI, 29 days of racing including the Irish Derby and Irish Oaks, the Galway Races and the Irish Champions Festival. Jane Mangan and Ruby Walsh will continue to be part of the team providing unique insight and analysis. We will also be live from the Dublin Horse Show from the 8-10 August.
RT Raidi na Gaeltachta will have live commentary, reporting, post-match interviews, and analysis on its weekend sports shows Sp rt an tSathairn, Sp rt an Tr thn na on Saturday, and Sp rt an Lae on Sunday. The live radio coverage of the inter-county championship will feature many well-known analysts in both football and hurling. Once the inter-county fare is complete at the end of July, RT Radio na Gaeltachta will focus in on the club championship, especially the Gaeltacht clubs in their respective counties, Donegal, Mayo, Meath, Galway, Kerry, Cork, and Waterford.
Anything can happen in a minute. Follow all the games on the RT Sport website and the RT News app with our live blogs, match reports, and reaction. Missed the action? Watch match highlights back on RT 's YouTube page, RT .ie, RT Player, and the RT News app.
