As of 1 October the South African Broadcasting Corporation s (SABC) most successful soapie, Generations, will not appear in its programming schedule until December 2014. The show will be off screen as new episodes are filmed, after 16 actors contracts were terminated by MMSV Productions in August 2014.

SABC 1 drama Skeem Saam Season 3 will replace the 20h00 Generations time slot, while the repeat slot on SABC3 at 10h30 will be filled by Muvhango.

Due to audience feedback the following TV schedule changes will also be applied:

SABC1

From 3 October 2014:

18h30: local drama (repeats)

20h00: Skeem Saam S3

SABC2

From 3 November 2014:

17h30: Shangaan and Venda News (broadcast on an alternate basis)

18h30: 7 de Laan

19h00: Afrikaans Nuus

19h30: SeSotho and Setswana News

Mooiloop moves to Thursdays 20h00

What s Behind The Wall (Mondays,Tuesdays 20h30)

Ba kae (Wednesday,Thursdays 20h30)

90 Plein Street (Wednesdays 21h30)

Interface (moves to Sundays 20h30)

SABC3

From 3 November 2014:

The Afrikaans Nuus is moves back to SABC2 at 19h00.

Mondays: Big Bang Theory moves from Tuesday 20h00 to Monday 19h30. The Transporter moves from 22h00 to 21h30.

Tuesdays: A new foreign drama Chicago Fire S1 replaces Nuus and The Big Bang Theory.

Wednesdays: The foreign drama Missing, moves to Wednesday at 19h30.

Thursdays: Man Cave moves from Wednesday at 20h00 to Thursday at 19h30.

Fridays: X Factor moves from 20h00 to 19h30. The movie slot moves from 21h00 to 20h00 until X Factor ends.

Saturdays: Desperate Housewives follows the Saturday night romantic drama slot at 21h30, previously broadcast on a Tuesday at 22h30. Desperate Housewives repeats in its current slot on Tuesdays.

Sundays: Special Assignment moves from 20h00 to 19h30.The documentary slot moves from Monday at 21h30 to Sunday at 20h00. Africa Calling fills this slot in November. Revenge moves from 20h30 to 21h00.Regenesis moves from 22h30 to 22h00.
