The new service is AXTEL's first media service over its fiber network, helping AXTEL achieve its triple-play vision of video, voice and broadband. Ericsson deployed and integrated the end-to-end next generation TV platform, including an MPEG-4 AVC head-end for linear and on-demand standard definition (SD) and high definition (HD) TV channels, and the Ericsson Multiscreen TV Solution. VCAS for IPTV is integrated with the Ericsson solutions, which are installed on set-top-boxes (STB) made by Kaon Media. The STBs also feature EPG navigation by Mirada.
