WARNER BROS. TELEVISION GROUP SIGNS OVERALL DEAL WITH BRYAN CRANSTON'S MOONSHOT ENTERTAINMENT PRODUCTION COMPANY

Warner Bros. Television Group has signed an overall deal with Emmy Award-winning producer Bryan Cranston and his Moonshot Entertainment production company.

Per Studio practice, financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed, but WBTVG can confirm that it is an exclusive multi-year pact for Cranston's producing services. This marks the first deal for Moonshot with the Studio.

Bryan Cranston said: I launched the company six years ago with an insatiable curiosity to discover unique, character-based storytelling, which has been a key to Moonshot's success. My producing partner, James Degus, and I are excited to continue the journey at Warner Bros., where we will expand on an eclectic slate of ideas that aim to connect with the heart and mind.

Under terms of the agreement, Cranston and his Moonshot Entertainment producing partner James Degus will develop original television series ideas for on-demand/streaming services, premium/pay and basic cable channels, the broadcast networks, and digital platforms. Moonshot's series will be produced in association with either Warner Bros. Television, Warner Horizon Scripted Television, Warner Bros. Animation or Blue Ribbon Content, the Television Group's digital division, depending on the platform. Beyond the U.S., Warner Bros. International Television Distribution will distribute the series to the global marketplace.

Prior to joining WBTVG, Moonshot produced the highly acclaimed crime drama series Sneaky Pete, which ran for three seasons on Amazon Prime Video. Cranston co-created the series, played a recurring role, directed an episode, and served as executive producer with Degus. Moonshot also produced the HBO original motion picture for television All the Way, in which Cranston starred as President Lyndon B. Johnson, a role he previously played in the Broadway production of the same name, winning a Tony Award for Best Leading Actor in a Play. For their work on the HBO film, the Moonshot partners were both nominated for Emmy Awards in the Outstanding Made for Television Movie category, and Cranston was also nominated as Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series or Movie.

Most recently, Cranston and Degus are executive producers on the upcoming Showtime limited drama series Your Honor, in which Cranston stars. Moonshot previously produced the comedy/drama series The Dangerous Book for Boys (co-created by Cranston) for Amazon Prime Video, three seasons of the stop-motion animated comedy SuperMansion for Sony's Crackle digital service, and the science fiction anthology series Electric Dreams, which was based on stories by Philip K. Dick, for Channel 4 in the UK and Amazon Prime Video in the U.S.

Before the formation of Moonshot, Cranston won two Emmy Awards for Outstanding Drama Series from three nominations as part of the producing team on the acclaimed hit Breaking Bad. As a performer on Breaking Bad, he won four Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series from six nominations for his unforgettable work as Walter White.

As an actor, Cranston is one of the most versatile and respected performers in television, feature film and on the stage. In addition to his Tony for All the Way, Cranston won a second leading actor Tony Award for his performance as Howard Beale in the acclaimed production of Network. He was nominated for an Academy Award in 2016 for his portrayal of blacklisted screenwriter Dalton Trumbo in Trumbo. He was previously nominated for three Emmy Awards for the comedy series Malcolm in the Middle and once as a guest actor on Curb Your Enthusiasm. His additional acting credits include the feature films Argo, Godzilla, Little Miss Sunshine, The Infiltrator (which he also executive produced), The Upside and Isle of Dogs, among dozens of others.
