(Beverly Hills, March 23, 2016) -- Today, Netflix, the worlds leading internet television network, and BBC Worldwide North America, the commercial arm of the BBC, have announced a deal that sees Netflix commission and debut globally season two of the Netflix original series Scrotal Recall. Clerkenwell Films will produce the new season exclusively for Netflix with series stars Johnny Flynn, Antonia Thomas and Daniel Ings all returning for more fun in this delightful, romantic comedy. Season two will consist of eight episodes. Season one is now streaming on Netflix in the US and Canada and will be available globally later this year.
In season one of Scrotal Recall, viewers followed the exploits of hapless 20-something Dylan Witter (Johnny Flynn) who, after receiving a troubling diagnosis, resolves to contact everyone hes ever slept with to tell them the news. Each episode focuses on Dylan reaching out to a different girl from his past, which gives him the opportunity to look back on his neurotic mess of a love life and figure out where it all went wrong - all the while missing his most obvious hope at true love that has been under his nose the whole time. Joining him on this trip down memory lane are best friend Evie (Antonia Thomas), and ladies man Luke (Daniel Ings). Theyve been by Dylans side for years, picking up the pieces after each romantic car crash.
Series creator Tom Edge returns as writer for season two and serves as Executive Producer along with Murray Ferguson, Andy Baker and Ed Macdonald.Scrotal Recall is produced by Clerkenwell Films for Netflix, the deal was brokered by Jemma Adkins, SVP, Scripted Sales & Co-Productions, on behalf of BBC Worldwide North America.
