IABM announces comprehensive new membership categories and benefits 08 Sep 2014
IABM, the only trade association that represents the broadcast and media technology supply industry worldwide, has announced a set of new membership packages delivering a wider scope of benefits. Global membership for multinational organisations is now a standard feature of all categories.
The launch of the new packages is being driven by our mission to assist members in being more successful in such a competitive climate. As a result, organisations can now select the best membership option that suits their requirements as the advantages are more appropriate to the needs of their business, says Peter White, Chief Executive, IABM. It is really about the level of engagement that a member wants with IABM and the industry as a whole.
The new packages Bronze, Silver, Silver 100+, Gold and Platinum feature structured benefits around areas such as access to business intelligence, information and research, training, resources, networking and various discounts on global conferences and events. As part of the promotion of these options, new members are being offered free membership for the remaining year when signing up for 2015.
White continues: With the scope of benefits on offer, especially for organisations that attend the conferences, events and exhibitions, the subscription fee essentially pays for itself. In addition, our business reports and intelligence are made available to members at no cost or at significant discounts, depending on the type of research, and often this information is not available anywhere else.
The Platinum membership category is new and not aligned to any of the previous membership options.
With Platinum, we are really looking to go past where we've gone before. Companies in this category are seen as trail blazers in the industry and the additional benefits are geared towards helping members reinforce or achieve this view by offering extra engagement opportunities through conferences, briefings and summits, as well as being invited to present webinars and submit thought-led articles for the IABM journal, says White.
The Bronze category is also a new addition and caters to organisations that do not directly supply products and services to the end user, but support the broadcast and media industry and the organisations within it.
We recognise the valuable role that these affiliate organisations, such as public relations agencies, recruitment companies and finance houses, play within the ecosystem and the new Bronze category enables them to enjoy the benefits of being associated with an industry body like IABM, such as networking opportunities, access to the members only section of the IABM website, free technology seminars, and industry e-bulletins.
IABM is working with its current membership to migrate them to the most beneficial new category. In line with the membership refresh, the trade association has launched a new website, complete with enhanced members-only section, and additional functionality.
