DHD to Showcase New Product Line-up at MPTS 2024

DHD's range of digital broadcast equipment, systems and related software will be promoted on stand D22 at the Media Production & Technology Show by UK-region distribution partner Thum+Mahr. MPTS will be held at the Olympia exhibition centre in London, Wednesday 15 through Thursday 16 May. Highlights of the DHD exhibit will include the DHD XS3 IP Core and XD3 IP Core audio processors.

DHD audio production systems are renowned for their excellent sound quality, reliability, ease of operation, space-efficient desktop footprint and low vertical profile, says Chris Settele, DHD's International Sales Manager. They range in size from the ultra-compact DX2 and touchscreen-based TX2 to the highly expandable modular RX2 which can accommodate from 6 to 60 professional-grade 100 mm motorised faders with dust protection.

UK MARKET DEBUT: DHD XS3 IP Core audio processor

Compact digital processors form the heart of every DHD audio mixing and production system, connecting control surfaces located in multiple studios or edit suites within a specific site. They also perform input/output routing and interfacing with the outside world. AES67/RAVENNA and Dante based IP audio feeds as well as IP-connected remote device control can be closely integrated. Automated workflows and product virtualisation are also supported. Making its first UK exhibition appearance, the DHD XS3 IP Core audio processor supports up to 20 stereo faders on DHD audio mixing consoles. Occupying just 1U of rack space, it allows fast and easy configuration. An integral setup assistant tool allows a system supervisor to choose between default settings with a choice of assignable-button functions and display layouts. More advanced settings can be selected using DHD's Toolbox configuration software which can be activated via an optional license.

The XS3 IP Core will form the basis for the reintroduction of complete mixer bundles which have proved very popular with DHD customers over the years. These are now available for the SX2, and DX2 models.

UK MARKET DEBUT: DHD XD3 IP Core audio processor

The XD3 is a high-performance IP Core for use with large mixing and routing systems. It allows fully redundant configuration and can accommodate an optional router module. Up to 96 stereo faders, 126 stereo busses and 24 Gigabit Ethernet audio ports are supported. With two IPx expansion slots, the XD3 IP core can directly integrate different Audio-over-IP technologies such as two AES67/RAVENNA IPx modules (each supporting 128 channels or 64 streams), two 512 x 512 IPx Dante interfaces or a combination. Firmware 10 offers new capabilities including enhanced network security and unified user management based on web apps.
