Studio programming is leveraging multiple sets at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, CA
While NBC Sports preps for their exclusive English-language coverage from the Bay Area, Telemundo Deportes is beefing up their Spanish-language coverage in ways sports fans have never seen before. Hosted in a city with a heavy Latino population and a halftime show headlined by one of the most successful artists on the planet, it was the perfect time for the broadcaster to blow their onsite coverage out of the water on Telemundo, Universo, Peacock, their FAST channel Telemundo Deportes Ahora, and digital and social platforms.
We're doing the most we've ever done for a Super Bowl, says Miguel Lorenzo, SVP, sports content, Telemundo Deportes. When you consider all the content that we're producing, it's reflective of the importance of the NFL and the growth of the league among Hispanic audiences in the United States.
Rooted in Miami: Telemundo Center Anchors Remote Production Strategy
Although the game is taking place in Santa Clara, CA, Telemundo Deportes has leaned on their production and operations infrastructure from their home at Telemundo Center in Miami. Similar to previous Super Bowls, including last year's championship game in New Orleans, the broadcaster is remotely producing their live studio and game coverage from this IP-based facility in South Florida. This plan is centered around integration within NBC Sports' transmission truck and LiveU technology that establishes connectivity from the stadium to two production control rooms in Miami.
Led by Telemundo Deportes' SVP of Content Operations Chris Suarez-Meyers, the strategy is split in two to dedicate enough resources and attention to both studio programming and the live game. For studio shows, around 30 video feeds from onsite are being sent back for the final cut being done from one of these control rooms. As for content being shown on the full slate of studio programming, seven ENG crews between Telemundo's sports, news, and entertainment divisions have captured material from locations like Media Row at the Moscoe Center in San Francisco and other places in the city.
Two control rooms in Miami are remotely producing pregame and game coverage. On Sunday, they'll be roaming around in the tailgate area to capture fans as they come in and grab all of the color and sound surrounding the game, says Suarez-Meyers.
As for the live game broadcast, which will be a composite of NBC Sports' clean feed of their broadcast, a handful of unilateral iso cameras, and Telemundo Deportes-specific graphics, that will also be put together in the other control room. Back in Miami, the pregame show will be handled by director Andy Garcia and senior producer Gonzalo Morozzi and the game will be handled by senior producer Vic Bermudez.
This studio set is being shared by NBC Sports and Telemundo Deportes outside of Levis Stadium. In addition, a broadcast duo in a voiceover room back in Miami will be providing live SAP services for the English-language broadcast on NBC.
Telling the Full Story: Extensive Studio Programming Features Multiple Studio Sets, Standup Positions
With their ambitious coverage plans going strong all week long, Telemundo Deportes is turning up the heat on Super Bowl Sunday. Centered around a five-hour pregame show, Camino al Super Bowl with hosts Adriana Monsalve and Ver nica Rodr guez at 1 p.m. ET, live studio programming originating from onsite has required different backdrops and unique places to showcase the excitement of this game and the flavor and culture of the host city.
We have so much talent here from properties across Telemundo, adds Lorenzo. We're using this as a chance to spotlight Super Bowl LX, but also other sporting events that are coming up like the NBA All-Star Game and the FIFA Men's World Cup.
From a talent point of view, this includes Jessica Carrillo, Carlos Adyan, Lindsay Casinelli, Pablo Mari o, and Alejandro Berry on Camino al Super Bowl during pregame and Super Bowl LX: Homenaje al Campe n during the postgame; the first onsite edition of El Pelotazo with NFL sideline reporter Diego Arrioja, Berry, Mari o, and Rodr guez; NBA All-Star Game programming with lvaro Mart n and Diego Balado; FIFA Men's World Cup programming with play-by-play announcer Luis Omar Tapia; Adyan and Carrillo on segments for news shows like Al Rojo Vivo, Hoy D a, and En Casa con Telemundo; and a pregame feature on the cultural impact of Bad Bunny by Noticas Telemundo anchor Julio Vaqueiro.
Another set is allowing on-air talent to stand in the front of the field as a backdrop. From an operational point of view, two distinct studio sets on the premises of Levi's Stadium are the team's temporary home base. Outside the exterior of the building passed the entry gates, a shared space with NBC Sports is being used for coverage of the NFL's title game and also pregame shows for Liga MX and Premier League broadcasts. On the concourse, Telemundo Deportes constructed a small standup space for talent with the backdrop of the field behind them. Next door, the Spanish-language commentary team of play-by-play announcer Miguel Gurwitz and analyst Rolando Cant has their own space to the call the game.
Another production wrinkle this year is the involvement of Telemundo Deportes Ahora, their FAST channel that launched in August 2025, with boots on the ground at Media Row, NFL Honors, NFL Experience, and marquee events like the NFL Latino Culture House. Featuring programs like Puesta a Punto and social media-first content, these activations are driven by Telemundo Deportes' team of social reporters and influences like Juan Guarnizo and Sirey Mor n. With the addition of these digital efforts,it's created an even larger footprint and allows the broadcaster to tell stories abou
