Discovery Networks today announced the production of the second season of its hit series, Abalone Wars, produced by NHNZ, which ventures inside the high stakes game of one of Australia's most dangerous professions diving for abalone.
Abalone Wars Season One premiered on November 7, 2012 and quickly revealed itself as the highest rating local production in Discovery Channel's Australian and New Zealand history. It premiered as the number one locally produced factual series of 2012 and the number one factual program in its timeslot across all key demographs.
Season Two will continue to observe the extraordinary lives of the Australian men and women who battle Great White Sharks, poachers, dangerous elements and each other in the hunt for this precious seafood.
