With DNA Evolution, rather than restore all of the data for a job, we can use an AAF or EDL to do a selective restore for the conform directly from LTO tape, said Rhodri James, technology director for Gorilla Group. This saves a huge amount of space on our core shared storage systems, it saves time by making the conform process faster, and ultimately saves us money.
Powerful search and tagging via DNA Evolution's built-in Archive Asset Manager and automated conforms, are features engineered to provide quicker and more reliable 4K and HD media workflows. To streamline file-based environments, DNA Evolution offers unparalleled open access to content and delivers the highest possible archive-restore performance. DNA Evolution is the only software using an open format to store all metadata (XML) and data (LTFS), and with the multi-step verification process, long-term protection and integrity of media is ensured.
