MOG Announces Partnership with Filmpartners

MOG, the leading provider of MXF and centralized ingest solutions, announces a partnership with Filmpartners, the supplier of MXFserver, a software only total solution for film, broadcast and post-production industry.

MXFserver consists in a software only solution for distributed workflows that provides users with the freedom to open projects in different editing systems simultaneously. The software manages projects, users, accessibility and permissions, as well as storage quota management, through its media management platform. It basically mitigates the need for complex and expensive Media Asset Managers fitting perfectly in production environments such as rental production houses.

mxfSPEEDRAIL provides a full range of automated solutions for File-Based Ingest, SD-HD/SDI Capture, Digital Delivery, Transcoding and Real Time Playback. The system is perfectly compatible with third-party platforms, namely with MXFserver, saving costs and reducing production costs.

mxfSPEEDRAIL will ingest the files, writing the media into the storage, making files immediately available for collaborative editingover the MXFserver platform. Both technologies are perfectly integrated with Avid , Adobe Premiere and Final Cut Pro environments. Editors will have local access to the projects and will be able to index, browse, edit and perform all editing actions as if the media was locally on its machine. The process of taking ingested files into storage is streamlined, easing the access to contents and simplifying the media files management on a project basis.

MXFserver not only lets numerous users share the same media but it also lets you connect to several projects at the same time for final editing enhancing mxfSPEEDRAIL edit-while-growing capabilities.

FilmPartners as a company started 40 years ago with the rental of film camera crews and equipment.

In 1999 the company specialized in portable studio systems. A year later it got it's assignment from the Endemol company to facilitate Big Brother in a number of countries. This brought along the need to go much deeper into automation as there were hardly any systems that could handle these needs. In 2007 technology at FilmPartners peaked with the built of a highly automated 107 camera operation at Talpa Golden Cage' in The Netherlands.
