Endemol Shine Group Launches New Creative and Production Hub in Iberia

ENDEMOL SHINE GROUP LAUNCHES NEW CREATIVE AND PRODUCTION HUB IN IBERIA Newly launched global content creator, producer and distributor, Endemol Shine Group, which brings together Endemol, Shine and CORE Media, today announced the launch of Endemol Shine Iberia, a new regional creative and production hub. Endemol Shine Iberia incorporates all Group companies in Spain and Portugal, including Shine Iberia, Zeppelin, Gestmusic, Diagonal TV and Endemol Portugal. Endemol Spain Managing Director, Pilar Blasco, has been appointed as Managing Director of Endemol Shine Iberia overseeing all companies in the region. In addition, Endemol Spain's Javier Garcia has taken the role of Chief Finance and Operations Officer and Jordi Bosch will be Chairman of the new regional hub.

Pilar Blasco was appointed as Managing Director of Endemol Spain in 2011 having previously led the company's Madrid based arm, Zeppelin TV. During her tenure, Endemol Spain expanded and diversified its slate across genres and platforms as well as creating worldwide hit Your Face Sounds Familiar, which first launched in 2011 and has sold to over 30 territories including the U.S., UK and China, and across Europe, Latin America, Asia and the CIS.

Macarena Rey will continue as CEO of Shine Iberia, leading the company's existing teams in both Madrid and Lisbon. Her brief is to build on the success and momentum that has established Shine Iberia as a leading producer of non-scripted, and recently scripted, hits across the region just over three years since its inception.

The successful teams at Endemol Shine Iberia's other market leading companies remain unchanged, led respectively by Lurdes Guerreiro, Managing Director of Endemol Portugal in Lisbon; Jaime Guerra, Managing Director of Zeppelin TV in Madrid; Tinet Rubira, Managing Director of Gestmusic in Barcelona; and Joan Bas and Jaume Banacolocha, Managing Directors of Diagonal TV in Barcelona.

The combined companies boast a diverse portfolio of hits across scripted and non-scripted genres as well as a fast growing line up of digital video channels and brands. This includes local versions of Big Brother, Masterchef, Anything Goes, The Voice Portugal, Secret Story Portugal and The Money Drop, Spanish originated international hit, Your Face Sounds Familiar, long running and award winning drama series such as Isabel, No Identity and Amar, and a wide ranging roster of locally created programming across genres.
