Broadcast Industry Veteran Claudio Moriel to Lead TVU Networks' Sales in Mexico

New Office to Offer Local Service, Support and Serve Broadcasters in SDI to IP-based Transition MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA - December 6, 2016 - As part of the company's plans for expansion in the region and its commitment to broadcasters transitioning from an SDI to an IP-based infrastructure, TVU Networks has appointed Claudio Moriel as the company's new Director of Sales for Mexico. Claudio will lead the new TVU office in Mexico City.

Moriel was previously the Managing Director at Televital, the top broadcast rental and service facility in Mexico. During that time he counted Fox Sports, ESPN, SKY-TV, NBC, FIFA, TV Azteca and Televisa among his clientele.

In his new position, Moriel will be responsible for heading all TVU sales in the country one the company sees as critical to its future growth.

With our new Mexico City office led by Claudio, we'll bring the same high level of customer service and support our Mexican customers enjoy throughout the world. This is particularly important for broadcasters in Mexico as they transition from SDI to IP-based video solutions.

Added Shen, Having Claudio at the helm in Mexico City puts us in an ideal position. With his broadcast expertise, customer focus and extensive contacts, we couldn't be more confident in his ability to lead our company's efforts in Mexico.

Prior to joining TVU, Moriel was General Manager at De Sisti Mexico, a major supplier of lighting equipment to the broadcast industry. While working with DeSisti, he supervised the company's first manufacturing facility outside of Rome. He spent several years in his previous positions at both De Sisti and Televital.

We're in a growth mode in Mexico right now, and TVU offers products that address broadcasters' needs from acquisition to distribution, said Moriel. I'm very excited about our new office in Mexico City which will allow us to locally service customers with support, sales and rentals.
