Progress Named a Leader in Gartner Magic Quadrant for Mobile Application Development Platforms Leadership Position Based on Strong Completeness of Vision and Ability to Execute

BEDFORD, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Progress (NASDAQ: PRGS) today announced it has been recognized by Gartner as a Leader in the 2017 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Mobile Application Development Platforms (MADP). A mature UI Controls framework, that is visually excellent with low friction development. Kendo UI has proven to be a mature JavaScript UI framework that developers can use with low friction. The documentation and support of the product has been great along with a strong user community. The controls are visually appealing and provide a good user experience. The framework also plays well with other frameworks such as AngularJS and Twitter Bootstrap. It has cut our UI development time by around 40%. Enabled the ability to write native applications in 1 single codebase using JavaScript. We have been able to quickly develop cross-platform mobile applications using a single codebase. Full-featured tools with great flexibility. Telerik tools are great to work with for a variety of development projects. The dev tools are second to none and provide great libraries to produce amazing visuals and robust applications. Our dev team has tried other tools, but at the end of the day, we always stick with Telerik because of the flexibility the tools provide for styling and formatting, among other things, Division Head, IT in the Miscellaneous Industry.
