Customizable to Any Screen Size, App Provides Complete Control Over RTIs XP Series Processors and Connected Devices With Full Two-Way Feedback SHAKOPEE, Minn. - May 16, 2012 - Remote Technologies Incorporated (RTI) today announced that the companys award-winning RTiPanel app is now available for Android devices and the new Apple iPad . Compatible with Android smartphones and tablets of any screen size, the app boasts unique features such as two-way feedback, a customizable user interface, and highly optimized connection speeds to provide complete control over any RTI control system with an XP series control processor.
Raising the bar for control apps, the RTiPanel stands out from the pack with unique features such as full two-way feedback including cover art, weather graphics, dynamic image lists, and much more for an unprecedented control experience. The app supports connection locally via Wi-Fi and offers remote access via auto-switching Wi-Fi and 3G/4G wireless - allowing for control and monitoring from virtually anywhere in the world.
Programmed through RTIs award-winning Integration Designer software, the RTiPanel app can easily match the resolution of any screen size, even the new iPad Retina display. New high-resolution graphics and a completely customizable graphical user interface allow integrators to provide consumers with a consistent user experience across all RTI controllers in their systems. This also allows integrators the ability to create a unique interface designed to set their devices apart. All graphics are conveniently stored on the XP series processor and automatically download to the tablet or smartphone device when updates are made.
Redefining ease of use, the app displays in both portrait and landscape views by simply rotating the device. The programming process for supporting both orientations has been carefully designed to minimize the extra effort required.
Our RTiPanel app has been a huge hit since its release for Apple devices, and was named a CEDIA Best New Product in 2011. We are very excited to bring this advanced functionality to Android users, in addition to providing compatibility with the latest iPad, said Pete Baker, vice president of sales and marketing for RTI. By allowing control and monitoring both at home and away, the app provides a perfect complement to our control systems; one which our dealers can now offer to all of their customers.
The RTiPanel app is available now for download from Google Play (formerly Android Market), the Apple App Store, and the Amazon App Store. Installers can purchase licenses online from the RTI website or from an RTI distribution partner to enable communication with their RTI control system.
