About the Authors

Dave Pensado is a Grammy Award-winning mixing engineer who cut his teeth in Atlanta doing live and studio sound engineering during the 1970s and 1980s. In 1990, he moved to Los Angeles and now mixes between 200 and 250 songs per year. In September 2011, he and Herb Trawick started a weekly show called Pensados Place. The show is about engineering techniques and features interviews with guest mixers, producers, and artists, and has enjoyed tremendous success due to the valuable information provided by and their guests. Dave and Herb both live in Los Angeles.
