High-Tech-Forschung f r energieeffiziente W lzlager
Schaeffler und Universit t Erlangen-N rnberg entwickeln Hochleistungspr fstand
In einer Forschungskooperation haben Schaeffler und die Friedrich-Alexander-Universit t Erlangen-N rnberg (FAU) einen neuen W lzlagerschleuderpr fstand entwickelt. Auf diesem werden Lager einer bis zu 3.000-fachen Erdbeschleunigung ausgesetzt und unter den resultierenden hohen Belastungen getestet. Insbesondere das Reibungsverhalten von W lzlagern bei solch hohen Fliehkr ften, wie sie auf dem W lzlagerschleuderpr fstand erreicht werden, ist bisher wenig erforscht. Die Ergebnisse des Forschungsprojekts sollen die aktuelle W lzlagertechnologie optimieren mit dem Ziel, Kraftstoff- und Energieverbrauch bei Fahrzeugen und Maschinen zu verringern.
Ein tonnenschwerer Pr fstand
Der massive, 16 Tonnen schwere Pr fstand, der in einem eigenen Pr fbunker auf 22 Quadratmetern untergebracht ist, ist innerhalb von drei Jahren Konstruktions- und Bauzeit entstanden. 900 technische Zeichnungen, 1.600 Schrauben und ein Kilometer Kabel waren daf r notwendig. Der W lzlagerschleuderpr fstand war eines der gr ten Projekte des Lehrstuhls und ist ein Musterbeispiel f r eine hervorragende Kooperation zwischen Industrie und Universit t im Bereich grundlagenorientierter W lzlagerforschung , unterstreicht Lehrstuhlinhaber Prof. Dr.-Ing. Sandro Wartzack die erfolgreiche Zusammenarbeit.
Die Lager drehen sich w hrend des Pr fvorgangs gleich zweimal. Mittels eines offenen Planetengetriebes rotieren die Pr flinge sowohl jeweils einzeln um ihre eigene Achse als auch in ihrer Gesamtheit um eine Zentralachse. Vor allem die Frage, welche Faktoren, wie zum Beispiel die Temperatur, Beschichtungen oder geometrische Details, die Lager unter Extrembelastung beeinflussen, k nnen an dem neuen Pr fstand untersucht werden.
Verbesserung der Simulationswerkzeuge
Zusammen mit der FAU hat Schaeffler eine f r Simulationsverfahren n tige Software verbessert und weiterentwickelt, mit der schon vor dem Bau eines Prototyps das Verhalten der W lzlager simuliert und somit schon am Computermodell optimiert werden kann. Mit Hilfe dieses Pr fstands haben wir nun die M glichkeit, die Ph nomene an einem W lzlager im Fliehkraftfeld besser zu verstehen. Ein wichtiger Aspekt f r uns ist hierzu die weitere Verbesserung unserer Simulationswerkzeuge f r W lzlager auf Basis der Versuchsergebnisse. Hiermit k nnen wir die gewonnenen Erkenntnisse auf anwendungsnahe Bedingungen bertragen und somit unsere Produktentwicklung weiter verbessern , f hrt Oliver Graf-Goller, Bearing & Components Development und Projektleiter seitens Schaeffler, die Bedeutung des Pr fstands aus.
Aktuell finden noch letzte Tests und Einrichtungsarbeiten statt. Ab Oktober starten die ersten Messungen um Simulationen zu verbessern und einen schnellen Test von neuen Lager-Prototypen zu erm glichen.
