Caracol Televisi n Chooses Content Verification Software from Interra Systems CUPERTINO, California - April 8, 2014

Interra Systems, the leading provider of media analysis solutions for digital content, today announced Colombia's Caracol Televisi n has selected the company's Baton automated file-based QC solution, making content verification efficient and cost-effective. Caracol TV is a privately operated national channel that produces news, sports and other entertainment programming such as award-winning telenovelas.

Caracol Televisi n produces 5,200 hours of original content per year. The service provider's first Baton installation is at its Bogot production facility.

After evaluating several QC tools, Caracol TV has selected the Baton QC systems. Baton proved to be the best fit for our needs, as it integrated with our existing AVID Interplay MAM and PAM systems, stated Support Engineer Manager Edgar Parra Adames, Caracol TV. Our system allows the creation of workflows at each stage of production, and the Baton Media Player functionality has been very important in identifying errors. Baton admin tools permit resource sharing, assigning priority to each of the workflows and allocating processing speed in a way that maximizes the benefit of our investment in each of the nodes.

Because Baton provides full and accurate quality checks for audio issues, format problems and metadata, Caracol will save a great deal of time automating its QC processes, said Juanchy Mejia, Sales Director, Southeast US and Latin America for Interra Systems. These new workflow efficiencies will also result in better video for Caracol viewers.

Interra Systems will be demonstrating the Baton file-based QC solution at the National Association of Broadcasters Show, April 7-10, in booth SU7105.
