IP-infranet provides a secure, reliable, and efficient system for transmitting alarm messages Ljubljana, 25 October - Six years after the commercial launch of the Infranet alarm notification system, Telekom Slovenije unveiled an upgraded, IP-based version today. It goes by the name IP-infranet, and it provides an even higher level of security than any other solution. The IP-infranet network is designed for securing buildings such as banks, post offices, warehouses, shops and other places of business, and is also aimed at demanding private companies. The advantage of this new network is the high reliability of alarm notification transfer in the case of break in, fire, or other security incidents.

IP-infranet is the most secure, reliable, and efficient system for transferring alarm notifications. Its features place it in the top tier of alarm notification transfer systems by any security standard. IP-infranet is intended exclusively for transferring alarm notifications; it operates independently of other networks, and the network is set up to monitor for any interruptions to telecommunication cables.

Major features of IP-infranet include:

- It operates on reliable, redundant server architecture;

- Redundant transfer paths ensure that alarm notifications are transferred reliably;

- It operates on multiple access technologies and networks, ranging from VPN over IP/MPLS to the internet and GSM;

- The option of simultaneously transferring alarm notifications to several security-monitoring centers;

- It supports the transfer of traditional alarm notifications and the CONTACT ID format;

- Telekom Slovenije provides monitoring of transfer paths;

- Simple installation and automatic settings on first launch;

- Transfer is monitored and encrypted;

- Support for alarm notification transfer standards;

- Operations are not interrupted in case of a power outage;

- Telephone connection not required;

- Data stored in separate security zones;

- 24/7 service availability.

IP-infranet service is available to all Telekom Slovenije subscribers. IP connectivity to Telekom Slovenije's network at the user's location is required, which means that the service is available to subscribers of any SiOL internet plan, business plan, VPN service, IP Centreks managed telephone exchange, fiber optic internet connection, or xDSL.

Telekom Slovenije implemented the solution in collaboration with its partner Iskratel who developed an integrated a key part of the solution, the Alarm Receiving Center (ARC) server. ARC is a dedicated, advanced and reliable platform used in the most demanding environments (military, police), which makes it possible to collect various types of traditional alarm messages, as well as data from other devices (telemetry).
