Join Radio 1 s Ray Darcy Show By Getting Dressed Up For Charity 18 February 2015: #DressedByAChild to raise funds for LauraLynn Irelands Childrens Hospice

The Ray D'Arcy Show launched #DressedByAChild campaign to raise money for LauraLynn, calling on the nation to allow a child to style you, whilst raising much needed funds in the process. Ray has embraced the #DressedByAChild initiative by putting his wardrobe in the hands of his daughter Kate D'Arcy all this week.

To show your support, allow a child complete control of your wardrobe - it could be your son, daughter, niece, nephew or neighbour who can transform you as they wish. Share the photo on social media, nominate friends and family and donate 4 by texting LAURALYNN to 50300. Ray has already nominated presenters Ryan Tubridy who spoke to Ray on the show earlier on.

RT Radio 1 presenter Ray D'Arcy said: LauraLynn is Ireland's only children's hospice and is one of the most deserving charities there is. The work they have to do is both heart-breaking and life affirming at the same time. It's wonderful to think that children can be involved in raising money for children who are less fortunate than themselves. So, surrender yourself to a child in your life and let them dress you for a photo. Post it up on social media and donate by texting LAURALYNN to 50300 and use the #DressedByAChild .

LauraLynn, Ireland's only Children's Hospice, provides care for children with life-limiting conditions and their families by providing home support, respite, crisis and end-of-life care. Tragically, there are over 3,800 children living in Ireland with life limiting conditions and 350 of these children pass away each year, most within their first year of life. We need to raise 2.9M annually to continue providing these services with additional funding needed for our LauraLynn@HOME programme, providing palliative care for very sick children in the comfort of their own home.
