Actor Siyabonga Shibe, who played the role of Qhabanga on Uzalo, says he will never return to the soapie even though he recently got nominated for the role.

Viewers of the soapie hoped the actor would return to the show after his on-screen wife, Gabisile, played by Baby Cele recently returned to the show.

-- SHIBE'S NEW PROJECT Daily Sun reported that the actor is nominated in the Simon Mabhunu Sabela KZN Film and Television Awards for Best Actor.
Shibe says he is grateful for the nomination as it shows that his work was recognised and being nominated is a lot and big.

He also told the publication that he is grateful for the nomination but will never play Qhabanga again.
The former Uzalo actor, also assured viewers of the soapie that there is no bad blood between him and the production company, Stained Glass TV.
He confirmed he is currently shooting a film, The Wife with Stained Glass TV which is also produced by the production company.

-- RUMOURS OF HIS EXIT Shibe's fans alleged that the actor got fired from the soapie after he posted a video complaining about actors' salaries on his social media accounts.
He has rubbished rumours that he was fired several times on his social media accounts and stated that it was just time for him to leave.
I have had so many calls wanting to know whether I have been fired from Uzalo.
I have been ignoring the issue for too long now.
I want to put it on record that me and my producers are in a good space and there were never any fights for whatever reason.
