D Artists for animated kids comedy series Johannesburg

Animation studio based in Johannesburg seeks to appoint a range of 3D artists for the production of our first CG animated kids TV series in September. There are a number of positions still available at our studio for different levels of experienced 3D artists.

Junior 3D motion capture data cleaners

Requirements:

Basic 3D Maya skills

Well developed technical aptitude

Keen interest and willingness to learn new software

Junior 3D character animators

Requirements:

Basic 3D Maya skills

Natural ability for 3D character animation

Mid-level DOP (3D camera)

Requirements:

Basic camera composition skills

Experience working as DOP in live action environment

Willingness to learn and transfer DOP-skills to 3D-environment

Senior 3D lighting and rendering artists

Requirements:

Advanced 3D Maya skills

Advanced 3D rendering skills

Experience as lighting TD is preferable

RENDREMAN experience is preferable

Junior pipeline engineer

Requirements:

Advanced programming skills; preferably Python

Keen interest and willingness to collaborate on the design of a bespoke 3D animation pipeline

Junior data wrangler

Requirements:

Basic 3D Maya skills

Well developed technical aptitude

Keen and willingness to learn new software

Junior render wrangler

Requirements:

Basic 3D Maya skills

Well developed technical aptitude

Keen and willingness to learn new software

Mid-level 3D character riggers

Requirements:

Mid level 3D Maya skills

Mid level 3D rigging skills - both body-rigging and face-rigging

Mid level blend-shape skills

Mid-level 3D character modeler

Requirements:

Mid level 3D Maya skills

Mid level modelling skills

Zbrush and MUDBOX skills preferable
