Mexico Heat Treatment Congress in Queretaro on June 14th

SGL Group will showcase its comprehensive range of graphite products suited for the heat treat industry at two trade shows in North America: At Powdermet 2017 running from June, 13th to June 16th at The Bellagio located in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, and at the Mexico Heat Treatment Congress on June 14thin Queretaro, Mexico.

Powdermet is an annual event, bringing Powder Metallurgy (PM) industry experts from around the world for technical sessions, workshops and industry exhibits focusing on PM, particulate materials and metal additive manufacturing, SGL Group's staff will be exhibiting at booth #124. Application Manager Jim McAllister will be presenting a technical session on Friday, June 16th at 9:30 am. At session 30, titled Surface Hardening & Modification, McAllister will be presenting on the use of CFRC material in oil quenching applications.

The Mexico Heat Treatment Congress is an annual event, bringing heat treatment (HT) industry experts to Mexico for technical papers, stand exhibits and networking events focusing on various heat treating applications. Application Manager Joe Labant will be presenting a technical paper on the use of CFRC material in oil quenching applications.

At both trade shows, SGL Group will be displaying a SIGRABOND Performance grade, carbon-fiber reinforced carbon (CFRC) furnace fixture, which unlike the standard weave pattern style, can be used for oil quenching. Other featured products include; SIGRATHERM soft and rigid felts, SIGRABOND profiles, angles and heat shields, and SIGRAFINE heating elements.

SIGRABOND fixtures encompass excellent technical properties, as well as being lightweight, sturdy, and energy efficient. These systems are considerably lighter than typical competing options such as steel, molybdenum or nickel-chrome alloys; creating less thermal mass, quicker heat up and cool down cycles, increased load capacity and reduced energy costs. SGL Group's product is proven to retain its shape and not show signs of fatigue or warping after hundreds of furnace cycles, preventing part distortion, increasing the lifetime and reducing the cost of ownership for the fixture.
