Imagine Communications, a media software and video infrastructure solutions provider has introduced the Nexio Ingest Suite, a set of flexible software tools for managing content ingest and storage. The application enables users to easily manage ingested video assets and utilize them for live and studio-based production environments when integrated with the Nexio Studio Suite and Nexio video servers. Nexio Ingest Suite and Nexio Studio Suite will be demonstrated at Imagine Communications booth at IBC (Stand 7.G20), which takes place in Amsterdam from 12 to 16 September.

Ingesting video content into media company facilities in a consistent and easy manner often requires multiple systems to perform basic ingest and review tasks. Nexio Ingest Suite enables simplified baseband and file-based ingest as well as the uploading of material from XDCAM/P2 products, all from a single user interface. Based on standard IT architectures, users can run the program on existing hardware, avoiding expensive technology investments.

Huw Dymond, product line manager at Imagine Communications explains, Nexio Ingest Suite lets customers be more dynamic in their operations, such as file-based browsing and stitching services, dragging and dropping jobs throughout the timeline, amending or altering ingest, or scheduling recurring events. Unlike other options in the marketplace, we combine these key ingest and studio functions in a simplified user interface, enabling centralised video and metadata management as well as a seamless transition between legacy and next-generation software-based toolsets.

Nexio Ingest Suite and Nexio Studio Suite address workflow challenges with a common and easy to deploy combined toolset that transparently integrates with Nexio servers. For customers looking to add file-based ingest to an existing system, or to expand their existing baseband toolsets with more advanced features, these toolsets are compelling.
