Sony Electronics continues to advance its professional imaging ecosystem with the latest updates to its Sony Monitor & Control app (ver. 2.6.0) and Catalyst Prepare / Catalyst Prepare Plugin-introducing new capabilities designed to streamline production, enhance collaboration, and deliver greater creative control from capture through post.

Smarter Monitoring and On-Set Efficiency with Monitor & Control v2.6.0 Building on the success of Sony's acclaimed Sony Monitor & Control app is a powerful solution for professional video creators, enabling wired or wireless monitoring and control of single- or multi-camera setups-supporting up to 20 cameras. It is widely used on smartphones, tablets, and Macs for precise focus, exposure, and color adjustments, delivering flexibility and accuracy across a range of production environments.

The latest update (ver. 2.6.0) introduces new recording and audio monitoring features that further streamline on-set workflows. Users can now capture high-resolution video and audio directly to a connected device via HDMI or UVC, enabling instant playback and review without interrupting shooting.
