SCTE/ISBE LEADERSHIP PROGRAMS ATTRACT RECORD 112 TO TUCK EXECUTIVE EDUCATION AT DARTMOUTH, GEORGIA TECH SCHELLER COLLEGE OF BUSINESS
2017 Dates Set: May 7-12 at Tuck; March 13-16 at Georgia Tech
MAY 26, 2016 (Exton, PA)-The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) and its global arm, the International Society of Broadband Experts (ISBE), today announced that a record 112 students from throughout the industry attended SCTE/ISBE Leadership Institute programs this year.
The Leadership Institute alumni, which ranged from high-potential managers to accomplished senior-level executives, included 62 who earned certificates from the SCTE/ISBE Leadership Institute at Tuck Executive Education at Dartmouth, as well as another 50 graduates of the SCTE/ISBE Leadership Institute at Georgia Tech Scheller College of Business.
Both programs combined rich curricula designed to enhance management, leadership and critical-thinking skills with personal expertise from established industry leaders. NCTA President and CEO Michael Powell and ARRIS Chairman and CEO Bob Stanzione were featured speakers at SCTE/ISBE-Tuck; Dan Murphy, senior vice president of engineering and technical operations for Comcast's Central Division, and Sabrina Calhoun, vice president of the engineering and design department for Bright House Networks, provided technology perspectives at SCTE/ISBE-Georgia Tech. Attendees graded the SCTE/ISBE-Tuck experience at 4.9 out of a possible 5.0, and the SCTE/ISBE-Georgia Tech program at 3.89 out of a possible 4.0.
The 2017 SCTE/ISBE-Tuck program will be conducted Sunday through Friday, May 7-12 at the Tuck School of Business campus in Hanover, N.H. The SCTE/ISBE-Georgia Tech program will be conducted Monday through Thursday, March 13-16, in Atlanta.
The industry's ability to plan for and manage technological change is vital to the successful delivery of new services, said Lindsay Johnston, senior vice president, operations, for SCTE/ISBE. Operators, technology partners and other members of the cable telecommunications community recognize the value that SCTE/ISBE-Tuck and SCTE/ISBE-Georgia Tech can deliver in preparing their executives for the future.
The SCTE/ISBE Leadership Institute has enhanced the careers of more than 500 current and future leaders over the past six years. SCTE/ISBE-Tuck is designed to help C-Level executives, vice presidents and senior directors foster the leadership and critical-thinking skills needed for the creation and implementation of successful business and technology strategies. The program leverages the faculty and resources of the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, which is consistently ranked among the world's Top 10 business schools by Forbes, The Wall Street Journal, The Economist, and U.S. News & World Report.
