Cosm Expands its Leadership Team to Scale Its Sports and Entertainment Division

Cosm announces the appointment of two new leaders - Jeff Hughes (President, Sports and Entertainment) and Rob Laycock (Vice President, Head of Venues Marketing) - to scale its sports and entertainment division and accelerate its plans for venues expansion across the globe.

Jeff Hughes, President, Sports and EntertainmentJeff Hughes joins Cosm as President, Sports and Entertainment, reporting directly to CEO and President Jeb Terry, and will spearhead the newly established division to drive long-term vision, strategic planning, and operational excellence. In this role, Hughes joins the executive management team and will lead the company's Media, Venues, Programming, and Marketing functions, ensuring efficiency and scalability as Cosm evolves its sports and entertainment pillars, expands into new domestic and international territories, and activates on its vast proposition - to deliver a fan experience and redefine the way the world experiences content.

Hughes brings with him immense expertise in sports, media, and technology, having steered global companies among these sectors through major business transformation. Most recently, he served as Chief Operating Officer at NEP, the world's largest provider of sports production and live event services, where he unified operations and delivered record revenue performance. Before that, he led the Digital Consumer Group at Fox, spearheading the company's digital evolution by fusing its cross-network platform, including Fox, FX, National Geographic, and Fox Sports, and launching its first direct-to-consumer product that set the foundation for sustainable growth. Hughes has also held previous c-suite positions at Omnifone and Sky, as well as leadership positions at IBM and PwC, among other global organizations.

Having held various marketing leadership positions in professional sports, including at the Atlanta Hawks, Indiana Pacers, and Indiana Fever, as well as event-based platforms like Ticketmaster, Laycock's deep understanding of brand, digital, content, and analytics uniquely positions him to help shape how Cosm scales and exceeds its ambitions at a global level.

Following the successful launches of its first two venues in Los Angeles and Dallas in 2024, Cosm will open its third and fourth venues in downtown Atlanta's Centennial Yards and downtown Detroit, respectively, in 2026, followed by its fifth venue in Cleveland's Rock Block development in 2027. Additional locations will be announced at a later date.
