VSN unveils at IBC 2014 the new user interface of VSNEXPLORER 12 September 2014Amsterdam is the stage chosen by VSN to show its Media and Business process solution's new UI, designed to greatly improve user experience and system operability. Along with this, VSNEXPLORER s PAM module, aimed at production environments, and VSNLIVECOM, studio playout software, also feature for the first time at IBC (stand 7.C21).

IBC 2014 is finally here and VSNEXPLORER, VSNs PAM, MAM and BPM solution, is shown in Amsterdam with a major redesign of its appearance. The new interface, more modern and attractive, has been designed to further improve the performance of the system and to create a user experience that takes media management to the next level. The improvement of efficiency, flexibility and ease of use have been the main aims of the company in this redesign.

For the first time at IBC, visitors have the chance to see VSNEXPLORER PAM, VSN's Media and Business Process Management solution's latest module. This PAM module, aimed at production environments, boosts productivity, enhancing contributions and the tracking of media. It features advanced sequence management for the main NLEs in the market, such as Adobe Premiere, Avid Media Composer or Final Cut X. Its new sequence management features allow for comprehensive control of all associated media in the database, enabling improved distributed workflows and online storage use optimization.

VSNEXPLORER PAM allows the user, among many other things, to import and export sequences and drag and drop sequences and contents directly to the timeline. It allows for sending a sequence and its associated media to the library (LTO, ODA) and recovering it when needed, and it also prevents the erasing of contents associated to a sequence and detects orphan files, greatly optimizing online storage use.

VSN's News & Live Production also comes with important new developments. VSNLIVECOM is a high-end studio automation module that allows for the control of up to 16 videoserver channels (4 A/B/C/D, 4 auxiliary and its redundancies). It integrates via MOS with the majority of NCSs in the market, such as VSNNEWS TERMINAL, Avid iNEWS and ENPS.

Also, in this edition VSN will take part in the prestigious IBC Workflow Solutions cycle of conferences that is held at the time of the exhibition. Roberto Duif, International Channel Manager at VSN, and Alfredo Blanco, Head Project Manager at Telson, will show how VSN s MAM & BPM solution helped Telson, one of the main broadcast facilities in Spain, to implement an automated platform to manage all processes related with ingest, QC, and delivery of broadcast materials as part of a playout outsourcing of four Turner International channels. The conference will take place on Monday, September 15th, from 14h to 15h, and its title is MAM&BPM: How to Orchestrate and Optimize Media Workflows".
