Eurosport and discovery in the COE presented its coverage for PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Games They will be the first games that will offer Eurosport after the agreement reached with the International Olympic Committee between 2018 and 2024. Discovery and Eurosport have presented this Monday at the headquarters of the Spanish Olympic Committee its ambitious proposal in the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Games, first face games offering Eurosport after the agreement reached with the International Olympic Committee in 2015.
This agreement awarded to Discovery Communications and Eurosport all rights of retransmission of television and cross-platform in Europe for the games, both summer and winter, celebrated during the period 2018-2024.
Eurosport will offer the first digital games in Europe, with live coverage and on-demand. The Eurosport Player interactive service will be the only place where fans can follow every minute of every athlete and every sport, in mobile, online tablets or through connected TVs. Eurosport Player will make users more than 4.000 hours of coverage and 100 events, including 900 hours of live broadcast, more than ever before in the continent.

A new way of telling stories
One of the fundamental pillars of the Olympic project of Discovery and Eurosport is tell the stories in a different way and make it along throughout the year and not just during the two weeks that last games. Eurosport will use its undisputed expertise in the field of television production and storytelling to connect like never before to fans with their favorite athletes.
For this reason, Eurosport will offer Olympic content throughout the year, until the arrival of the Olympic Games, and during the celebration of the same. These are the key points of coverage: direct, with track minute-by-minute games and Olympic sports throughout the year; innovation, with the use of the latest technology such as virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality in order to attract an audience new and younger; a new narrative to bring fans closer to their local heroes and bring them to the person who is behind the athlete; and finally, Eurosport will include content that will show South Korean culture to let fans know the city that will celebrate the games and the customs of the Asian country.
Destination Pyeongchang
The kick off will be next Wednesday, November 1, at one hundred days of the start of the Winter Olympics, day in which will be placed an account back in the screen that will be visible until they start games on Feb. 9. To celebrate an important date, Eurosport 1 will issue a special programming throughout the day with programs such as Destination PyeongChang, 20:00 hours, that which will be a presentation of the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic Games.
The special broadcast of this program that will be offered on November 1, Eurosport 1 will offer on a regular basis this space twice a week from November 18 and until the end of the PyeongChang Olympics.
