PLAZAMEDIA Selects Ross Video's PIERO for UEFA EURO 2020TM Graphics Analysis

Ottawa, Canada, June 14th 2021 - Deutsche Telekom's MagentaTV will broadcast all fifty-one matches of the UEFA EURO 2020 tournament live to its audience in Germany from June 11th to July 11th, and is also creating an extensive range of programs to cover all aspects of this most important sporting competition. PLAZAMEDIA GmbH has been commissioned by Deutsche Telekom as the general contractor to host the MagentaTV EURO 2020 studios and oversee the production of all matches on a total of twenty-two live production days, on four channels in 4K UHD and HD. As part of this schedule, PLAZAMEDIA has selected PIERO, the innovative sports graphics analysis solution from Ross Video, to enable MagentaTV's experts to share their analysis of the key moments in each game with audiences at home.

PIERO uses image recognition or encoded camera heads to overlay tactical graphics on sports content, comments Vincent Noyer, Director of Sports Graphics Analysis at Ross. With its range of visually engaging and informative effects, PIERO helps experts and pundits crack open the key moments in any game, giving audiences valuable insight into the decisions, tactics and actions that win or lose the match.
