We all know that landing the right job is crucial for everyone, especially young people who are just getting started in their careers.
To help this community achieve their career aspirations, we launched LinkedIn Dream Jobs in Indonesia - an initiative in which LinkedIn partners with nine leading brands in the region to help new graduates and career starters in Indonesia find career and learning opportunities.
As one of the most connected cities in the world, youth are powering the digital economy in Indonesia, said Olivier Legrand, LinkedIn APAC managing director. We are very optimistic that LinkedIn Dream Jobs campaign can help them connect to the right opportunities. We are in it for the long run and hope to provide a career launch pad and continuous learning opportunities for many of our young Indonesians. The nine companies we partnered with include Grab, Home Credit, Bank Danamon, Habitat for Humanity, Accenture, Kalbe Pharmaceuticals, Ogilvy & Mather, Procter & Gamble, and Reckitt Benckiser. From partner acquisition, account management to employer branding, these are hot jobs of tomorrow.
Southeast Asia, specifically Indonesia is still a young region in terms of its technology ecosystem, said Ongki Kurniawan, Managing Director GrabPay Indonesia. Apart from providing opportunities to connect and learn best practices, we believe that LinkedIn Dream Jobs will help young talents understand better about working environment, culture, their future roles and employers by pivoting on their understanding of a company's requirements. Grab believes in nurturing local talents and giving them the opportunity to grow with us and work with some of the best people globally, and even reverse mentor their overseas counterparts in addressing Southeast Asia-specific problems.
The program goes through May 2018, and the jobs are exclusively available on LinkedIn and members can apply to the jobs from the LinkedIn platform. More information on the LinkedIn Dream Jobs can be found here.
Success takes a Community
Our latest survey shows that almost 80 percent of Indonesians attribute success to the career choices that they've made. Our data also suggests that experienced professionals remember their first jobs and that early phase of life has also greatly shaped their attitudes and mindsets toward success. In addition, more than 65 percent of Indonesians adults (aged 18+) feel that success often requires collaboration or others to help.
About the LinkedIn Survey
All figures, unless otherwise stated, come from LinkedIns Success' study. Total sample size was more than 1,000 Indonesian adults. Fieldwork was undertaken in Q4 2017. The survey was carried out online. The figures have been weighted and are representative of Indonesia adults (aged 18+).
