Haivision and NewTek Technology Integration Automates Live Event Video Streaming to Internet Audiences Haivision's HyperStream Live cloud transcoding and NewTek's TriCaster give content producers easy outreach to Internet audiences

MONTREAL and CHICAGO April 8, 2013 Today, Haivision and NewTek announced a new technology collaboration to provide automated streaming options for content producers using NewTek's TriCaster to easily transcode in the cloud with Haivision's Hyperstream Live. Together, the simplified workflow enhances the viewing experience to Internet audiences on all connected devices.

With the collaboration, operators of NewTek's TriCaster professional multi-camera production switchers can now take advantage of an automated workflow. They can establish a single high bandwidth stream directly from a TriCaster through the user-managed Hyperstream Live cloud transcoding service to reach all Internet audiences with the highest quality adaptive bitrate (ABR) streams. With this workflow, resultant streams are tailored for any computer or mobile device, preserving the video quality and providing a smooth viewing experience to all viewers.

Haivision's goal is to make it easy for customers to distribute content to audiences in any environment, regardless of the device, said Chance Mason, executive vice president of Haivision's Internet Media Division. Our integration with NewTek supports that mission and is simplifying yet another workflow so that customers can publish content in multiple bitrates and formats to any CDN that they choose, straight from their TriCaster live production hub.

The release of Haivision's HyperStream Live product integrated with TriCaster represents big benefits to the large base of NewTek customers worldwide. With this integration broadcasters, webcasters, producers for sports, corporate, house of worship and schools have a seamless workflow with their TriCaster that provides adaptive bitrate streaming to multiple devices for their viewers, said Michael Kornet, executive vice president, Business Development, NewTek.
