PHABRIX enhances its modular Rx test and measurement range PHABRIX was in full innovation mode at NAB this year with additional modules, options and enhanced functionality for its new Rx rack mount test and measurement range - the Rx2000, Rx1000 and Rx500.

The company has been developing its new technological platform at a pace since it released the new products at NAB 2013.

Paul Nicholls director of sales and marketing commented;

The Rx has been developed as a platform to support the varied technologies broadcasters and broadcast manufacturers need to test and monitor. We have already provided SDI and optical support as standard throughout the range and the same SFP cages available on each module can also support developments that are happening with SFP's including composite and HDMI. NAB demonstrates our commitment to ASI and IP analysis with a technology demonstration of one of our development modules in the Rx chassis alongside SDI support. From an investment point of view, the Rx is a really safe bet particularly when broadcast budgets are tight.'

Along with a significant upgrade of its user interface to support 8 simultaneous channel analysis, PHABRIX's latest announcements include ITU 1772 and EBU loudness support as standard, LTC and VITC time code view, closed caption 608/708 support, Dolby E/D/Dplus generation and analysis, 2K file formats and enhanced waveform presentation.

PHABRIX has announced that in 2012 sales of its rack mount product range increased particularly in OB, MCR and broadcast manufacturing market sectors. The company expects to match the success of its acclaimed Sx hand held range during 2013 as interest grows in its versatile modular T&M system.
