This Spring 2026 graduate from Honolulu found a home at SoonerVision as a live-production star and is ready to enter the industry as a replay op on Prime Video's live-sports team

What drew you to live sports production, and how did you get started?

I grew up around sports my entire life. With my dad being a basketball coach and me playing multiple sports throughout childhood, sports were always a huge part of who I was. But it wasn't until the COVID pandemic that I was introduced to the production side of sports. During my junior and senior years in Hawaii, fans weren't allowed in the stands, and I got asked if I would be interested in commentating games.

Before graduating from the University of Oklahoma in May, Glenn worked behind the scenes at SoonerVision for four years on more than 350 live broadcasts.That quickly turned into me becoming the lead commentator for nearly all our sporting events, from football and volleyball to basketball and water polo. I also got the opportunity to work in the control room directing and producing broadcasts, which is where I fell in love with live sports production. I loved the fast-paced environment and the teamwork it took to bring a game to life for viewers.

When I decided to attend the University of Oklahoma, my high school advisor sent me the link to SoonerVision and encouraged me to apply. I started working there during my very first week as a freshman, and the rest is history.

Are there any aha moments when you realized you really loved a particular role?

Due to staffing shortages my freshman year, I was thrust into working replay with very little training. While it was very intimidating, I loved the challenge and the need to constantly be multitasking. Having the opportunity to build packages and tell the story of the game drew me in.

In addition to control-room roles as producer, technical director, and replay op, Glenn also ran camera on many Oklahoma Athletics events.I think when I realized I loved working the position was my first football game in the tape room. With our control rooms being inside the stadium, you can hear when fans cheer or boo. I remember vividly a controversial call being made and us replaying it very slowly to show that the runner was out of bounds and the roar of boos. Knowing that our job does impact the game is rewarding and pushes me to always be on my A game.

What has been your favorite project or game that you've worked on, and why?

In October, I had the chance to produce OU women's basketball's annual field-trip game broadcast. We bused in over 8,000 elementary students from around the state for the game and had a crazy atmosphere. The show had a different energy about it with the crowd, and we were able to illustrate that by relocating our football decibel meter to the basketball arena to show how loud it got.

As producer, I fed into the environment by having photos of various players at the age and highlighting the various events going on. The game itself was great with standout performances, a halfcourt buzzer beater, and an ultra-viral 6-7 moment in the third quarter. Overall, it was a great show with lots of storytelling elements about both teams and the field-trip day and provided us with many laughs throughout the day.

Replay is an area where Glenn truly excelled. Outside of SoonerVision, she has already worked more than 130 events as a freelancer for both pro leagues and collegiate sports. She has worked as a replay operator on such events as the NBA Finals, March Madness, and the NCAA Women's College World Series.What's the most challenging aspect of working in live sports production as a student?

While in college, I have been very lucky to have a successful freelance EVS career across professional sports like the NBA, NFL, and MLS and also traveling to work collegiate events around the country. However, to pursue these opportunities, I sacrificed a lot from a personal and academic standpoint.

Once my freelance career started picking up traction in fall 2024, I tried my best to have classes only in the morning as I would often have to drive or fly in the afternoons. I found myself constantly completing schoolwork on planes or during downtime on broadcast or even late nights or early mornings to stay on track.

Besides working on game broadcasts, Glenn played a role in more than 150 in-venue videoboard shows and live digital productions during her time with OU Athletics.I am very thankful for all the understanding and flexibility I have received from professors, with the number of classes I have unfortunately missed to work shows. I am also grateful to my friends, who have heard the excuse I can't, I have work at least a couple hundred times. But overall, I have learned a lot on how to manage my time well and be intentional about how I spend it.

What are your career aspirations after graduation?

Post graduation, I look to continue to grow in the broadcast- and media-production space. My end goal is to be a broadcast producer, but I am enjoying the journey across the control room.
