Audio-Technica has unveiled the BP350ST MS (mid-side) microphone in two versions: the camera-mount BP350ST-UL and the boundary or gooseneck-mountable BP350ST-UB.
Both variants feature independent line-cardioid and figure-of-eight elements in MS configuration with switch-selectable internal matrixing. Users can choose between left-right stereo output (wide or narrow) or discrete mid-side signals for post-production. Each model ships with a 36cm TA5F to dual XLR3-M stereo cable.
BP350ST-UB
The BP350ST-UB is housed in the same compact body as the ATM350a instrument microphone and includes two mounting options: a low-profile boundary housing with a magnetized back plate and four screw-mount holes, and a 5-inch gooseneck with a clip-on mount. The snap-on boundary housing grille provides access to the microphone, which lodges into the base plate. The AT8491UC clip-on mount includes a -inch camera thread. The BP350ST-UB is also compatible with ATM350a mounting systems. The permanently attached cable is 7.6 meters, terminating in a TA5F connector.
BP350ST-UL
The BP350ST-UL features a 16cm interference tube for off-axis noise rejection, designed for camera or support rig mounting. The AT8547 power module mounts into a camera's microphone mount or via third-party options. The permanently attached cable is 30cm, terminating in a TA5F connector.
