Global companies invest in disposable screen made for live event viewing --

Viuing has received a 700,000 investment from venture capital company Inveready and is attracting interest from a number of additional potential stakeholders. The Spanish company is due to release its flagship product, an inexpensive, disposable, transportable screen which can be used to view live events in real time, in 2015.

The device, which has a six hour battery life, is made up of a screen encased in a cardboard and plastic, and can be purchased at event venues or from the Viuing website. After use it can be kept or dropped off at a container for recycling. It is ideal for live sporting events, especially those with venue constraints which do not allow the audience full visual access to the action, such as Formula One or Moto GP races.

According to the Viuing website, founder Sergio Palomino says, There are increasingly more people who hesitate to go to these events because they can see them comfortably at home without spending .Viuing will put the TV of your home in the bleachers.

We have worked hard to bring a very complex concept to a product of very easy use for the viewer and for the technical operational, adds founder Toni Felguera.

Viuing was part of an accelerator program, Conector, which provides support and resources to start-up companies that are developing potentially successful projects. The platform also allows start-ups the opportunity to present their projects to private investors and venture capital firms at the end of the program.
