APEX EXPO - Anaheim CA, 17 September 2014 - Inmarsat (LSE:ISAT.L), the leading provider of global mobile satellite communications services, today confirmed Thales, the leader in in-flight entertainment and connectivity, as a Value Added Reseller for GX Aviation.

Inmarsat and Thales expect that launch customers for GX Aviation, Inmarsat's game-changing high-speed broadband connectivity, will be able to offer Internet speeds of up to 50Mbps to passengers on a global basis in 2015. This represents the only Ka-band solution built to deliver a seamless global network.

Passengers all over the world will soon have access to high-speed Internet connections and a huge range of new connectivity applications. GX Aviation is the only service that can meet the demand from airlines for a global seamless service, said Leo Mondale, President Aviation, Inmarsat. We are delighted to be expanding our relationship with Thales with the addition of GX Aviation. They are a major player in the aerospace industry, as well as one of the major inflight entertainment and connectivity companies. Having Thales on board supports our goal to make GX Aviation widely available to airlines all around the world.
