Telekom became name sponsor of the Veszpr m Handball Team

Following an almost 20 years long cooperation, the team renames itself after its Most Loyal Supporter and from the next season it will be called Telekom Veszpr m

Today Telekom signed a sponsorship agreement being of imminent importance from the aspect of the future of the Veszpr m handball team, according to which the cooperation between the leading ICT service provider of Hungary and the team reaches the highest possible level.
According to the agreement, from the 2016/2017 championship season the teams operated by the Veszpr m Handball Team Zrt. - from U10 to the adult team - will participate at all Hungarian and international tournaments under the name of Telekom Veszpr m Handball Team.
We are proud that we can further strengthen our cooperation - going back to almost 20 years - with one of the most successful teams of Hungary, performing at an extraordinary and exemplary level and excelling also in the international arena. I consider it especially important that the team of Telekom Veszpr m represents values also crucial to us: quality, trust and reliability. With our financial support we promote the successful preparation and tournament participation of the handball team - said Chris Mattheisen, chief operating officer of Magyar Telekom Nyrt.

At the press event, further to this announcement the latest Szurkol i sz v (Cheering Heart) concept of Telekom was also introduced, which will go on all through the summer - and on this occasion two world class players of the Veszpr m team, Nagy L szl and Mikler Roland received the heart shaped special badges, transmitting the heart beats .
Using the Fan Heart application anyone in Hungary can express support for their favorite athletes: handball players preparing for the final battles of Champions' League, football players of club Ferencv ros preparing for major European matches or members of the Hungarian Olympic Team training for the Olympic Games in Rio and sponsored by Telekom. The heart worn by athletes vibrates and produces a light signal whenever a heartbeat is received, so athletes will always know how many people are thinking of them, both at home in Hungary or any other place in the world.
