THE ADVENTURES OF BARON MUNCHAUSEN starts amid a war-torn city being invaded by the Turks as a theatrical production of Baron Munchausen is soon interrupted the REAL Baron Munchausen, who recounts the tale of what really happened.
What follows is a revisionist view of the enchanting adventures of Baron von Munchausenfrom being swallowed by a giant sea-monster, falling through the center of the Earth, a trip to the moon, a dance with Venus, and all the way up to an escape from the Grim Reaper. This movie pushed the visual effects envelope in 1988 and blows away anything youll see even today.
TIME BANDITS straps you down, suspends your disbelief and sets you on an eye-opening roller coaster ride through a phantasmagoric landscape from the perspective of a child. Kevin reluctantly joins in with the band of larcenous, time-traveling little people and is soon swept up into a journey through history, myth, legend, and fairy tales featuring the likes of Robin Hood (John Cleese), Agamemnon (Sean Connery), Napoleon (Ian Holm), and other lesser known beings expertly played by an all-star cast.
