Tightrope Media Systems Captures ACE Award for Best Small Island at 2017 NAB ShowTightropes Carousel Digital Signage Software provides dynamic backdrop to an inviting futuristic living room all custom-designed by Tightropes Creative Services teamST. PAUL, Minnesota, May 4, 2017 At the 2017 NAB Show last week, Tightrope Media Systems was presented with one of only four 2017 ACE (Awesome Cool Exhibits) Awards by the NAB Show. Tightrope took the Small Island Award, which recognizes the best creativity (use of color, sound, light and other creative elements), effectiveness (how well the booth draws in and engages the visitor), and overall structure (quality of the build and innovative use of materials) of booths from 400 to 999 square feet in size.
The power and flexibility of Carousel software makes it very easy to build custom channels like these, whether on the trade show floor or for an end user. Its what we do every day within the Tightrope Creative Services team. With more than 1700 exhibitors at the 2017 NAB Show throughout three halls, the peer-driven ACE Awards recognize a very select few for their innovations in booth design and execution. Tightropes exhibit drew constant attention from attendees thanks to a large 12-panel video wall powered by its Carousel Digital Signage Software that emphasized the companys creative chops over traditional branding. For example, a custom Alice in Wonderland animation, created in Adobe After Effects at a resolution of 6480x6060, spanned the entire video wall, with a master render that wound up just over 18 times the size of full HD. This provided an escape for attendees hit with a constant barrage of company branding and product advertising.
We saw the 12-panel video wall as a way to get people talking, said Amber Ward, creative director, Tightrope Media Systems. So instead of going with typical branded messaging, we decided to go bold and do something totally unique. We hoped that bright colors and whimsical animations would attract visitors and spark conversations. The result? We were told more than once that the booth was a magnet.
The Tightrope Creative Services team worked closely with Exhibit Partners to bring the full booth design to life, turning the initial design concepts into a final exhibit with running content in less than six months.
The fact that we achieved a booth design that offered something unique to visitors in such a short amount of time is significant, but were most proud of the passion, hard work, creativity and dedication that went into this design, said Michelle Alimoradi, marketing manager, Tightrope. Since we typically handle all of our branding and design concepts in house, we wanted to choose a partner whose creative vision would mesh with ours. Exhibit Partners exceeded our expectations by developing the perfect framing for our digital products, creative design and brand. Its functional and professional, yet still funky and fun. It embodies our company culture to the letter.
Utilizing Carousel Digital Signage Software in conjunction with the frame accurate synchronization capability of BrightSign Media Players, the master composition was framed across the 12 panels so that only one piece of the animation filled the entire display, said Brook Grubs, director of professional services, Tightrope Media Systems. The content was encoded into H.264 video with an mp4 wrapper, and everything played back in perfect synchronization to form one giant, very high resolution video. The power and flexibility of Carousel software makes it very easy to build custom channels like these, whether on the trade show floor or for an end user. Its what we do every day within the Tightrope Creative Services team.
The 2017 NAB Show, one of the largest trade shows in the world, ran from April 24-27 and covered more than two million square feet of exhibit space. The company will show a similar exhibit at the upcoming InfoComm 2017 show in Orlando (June 14-16), which will serve as the official AV industry event debut of Carousel 7.0, Tightropes latest Carousel Digital Signage Software release.
