INTRODUCE LANDMARK SPANISH-LANGUAGE WEBINAR SERIES
MARCH 15, 2018 (Nashua, NH, and Exton, PA)-Broadband Technology Report (BTR), the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE), and SCTE's global arm, the International Society of Broadband Experts (ISBE), today announced an enhanced partnership that is breaking new ground in learning and development for the Spanish-speaking workforce.
Under the agreement, BTR and SCTE ISBE are partnering on SCTE ISBE's first-ever ISBE LiveLearning Webinars for Professionals en Espa ol, a quarterly series that is specifically designed to drive knowledge and skill development within the CALA market as well as the broader Spanish-language community.
The series, which will be hosted by BTR Editorial Director and Associate Publisher Stephen Hardy, will feature contributions from MSO, technology partner, and association thought leaders within the market.
The debut webinar, which will discuss strategies that enable carrier-grade Wi-Fi networks, will feature Hugo Amaral Ramos, Regional CTO, ARRIS. Sponsored by ARRIS, the webinar will be conducted on Tuesday, March 27 at 2 p.m. Eastern. By partnering with BTR, we are complementing our own new Spanish-language technical training courses with webinars that can advance the education and expertise of workforce professionals.
Whether it's Spanish-language coverage or reports on the CALA market, BTR has been a consistent voice for reaching the industry in Latin America and the Caribbean, said Hardy. While partnership with SCTE ISBE broadens our presence in the market, it more importantly provides the training resources that will enable engineering and operations professionals to deliver the results that drive ROI for the industry.

The Spanish-language webinars are part of a broader SCTE ISBE-BTR partnership that also supports delivery of monthly English-language LiveLearning Webinars for Professionals. All LiveLearning Webinars feature industry experts who share knowledge on subjects that are key to the deployment of current and next-generation residential and business services. TVC CALA, a fully integrated product and solutions service provider in the Caribbean and Latin America, is assisting SCTE ISBE in promoting the webinars and selling training to support webinar topics.
The next English-language LiveLearning Webinars offering, Distributed Access Architecture, is today, Thursday, March 15 at 2 p.m. Eastern. Speakers will include Tom Cloonan, CTO, Network Solutions for ARRIS; David Hering, Senior Product Line Manager, VIAVI Solutions; Jon Schnoor, Lead Engineer for CableLabs ' Wired Technologies Team focused on Remote PHY Technologies; and Chris Tucker, Director of Business Development and Technology, Cable and Emerging Markets, Nokia.
