The preparation of all broadcast material, ensuring the correct sequence and availability of material, aligned to schedule, Timeous follow-up of outstanding matters pertaining to schedule and immediate notification of customers, Perform play-out of transmission material as per schedule

Effective and accurate clipping of tapes, ensuring each section of a programme starts and ends at the correct time code

Effective and efficient ingesting of short form and promotional materials on to the server, to ensure availability for broadcast

Edit the newly downloaded transmission schedules in order to rectify discrepancies and faults

Correcting advertising material on request, to ensure quality and optimal delivery on client needs and requirements

Conduct standard, formal checks, in order to check the optimal functioning of equipment

Ensure effective hand over to next crew, ensuring the accurate, comprehensive exchange of relevant information

Effective, efficient and timeous loading of schedules for the next day, ensuring the correct allocation of equipment

Continual, effective liaison with MCR, Sport, News/CA producers and live broadcasters, in order to optimally synchronize the live broadcast

Plan and ensure the optimal utilization of equipment, in order to enhance the quality of live broadcast

Effective and efficient undertaking of day-to-day administration, reporting and distribution of information to ensure smooth operations and informed staff

Adherence to and knowledge of emergency procedures, to be implemented in the event of equipment failure

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Grade 12 plus Internship Certificate in Broadcasting/Technical Qualification Operational Diploma in Television (minimum 1year)

Computer literacy/proficiency

Advanced Broadcast Operations e.g. (Network Protocol course)

At least 4 -5years on the job experience in an automated TV broadcast environment.
