Cinedeck LLC (www.cinedeck.com), pioneering developer of capture systems for digital cinema, broadcast and post production, will highlight how its products accelerate workflows for Adobe Premiere Pro CC, at NAB 2015, Las Vegas, (#SL15714). Cinedeck record, ingest and transcode platforms deliver a host of cutting-edge features that enable Adobe Premiere Pro CC users to access files faster and to start editing content while it is being recorded the ideal scenario when rapid turnaround is essential, such as in live, multi-cam broadcast and news operations.
Cinedecks product line includes the two-channel RX3G, four-channel MX, and modular ZX recorders, supporting 4K, UltraHD, 2K, HD and SD workflows with multiple native codecs, plus the latest SMPTE and DPP-recommended broadcast-delivery standards. They simultaneously capture and create edit-ready deliverables on multiple storage destinations, allowing post-production processes to begin without delay.
Adobe Premiere Pro CC editors can harness the multi-channel, multi-codec ingest/playout capabilities of Cinedeck RX3G, MX and ZX platforms, including the redundant recording of, and rapid access to, material in a range of popular codecs ProRes, DNxHD, AVC-Intra, H.264, Cineform VC-5, and more via appropriate high-performance local and network storage. Cinedecks also provide growing XDCAM HD files, which support Edit-while-recording, a new, automatic feature enabling Adobe Premiere Pro CC editors to access material while cameras are still recording the action. Auto-refresh can be adjusted as required from within Adobe Premiere Pro CC, part of Adobe Creative Cloud . Editors can also manually refresh growing files anytime to see the most recently recorded content.
Broadcasters and live multi-cam productions can import growing clips into Adobe Premiere Pro CC, in the same manner as any other video material. Depending on a productions requirements, Adobe Premiere Pro CC can also be installed directly on the Cinedeck platforms and use local Cinedeck storage.
Additionally, Adobe Premiere Pro CC editors will soon be able to leverage Cinedecks new and unique File-based Insert Editing capability. Much like traditional insert editing on tape, Cinedeck File-based Insert Editing enables editors to directly access and change existing files, eliminating the need to rerender complete programs, and providing peace-of-mind as eleventh-hour editorial changes no longer present a problem.
Furthermore, Cinedeck will introduce full 64-bit support at NAB 2015, which provides even greater platform stability and allows for additional simultaneous realtime processing of video and audio files while they are being recorded. This includes the application of LUTs and many other additional creative, security and workflow-boosting features. More streamlined project set-ups and system integration features including VDCP and GPIO control will also be introduced.
Getting the right material quickly into editorial is a high-priority in todays live, multi-cam broadcast and news operations, said Simon Williams, senior director of business development at Adobe. Adobe Premiere Pro CC, a key component of Adobe Creative Cloud, gives creative professionals feature-rich editing tools, and Cinedeck platforms deliver content via highly-efficient, file-based workflows for virtually any type of production, enabling them to flexibly edit native footage at unprecedented speed.
Charles DAutremont, founder and CEO of Cinedeck commented, Cinedeck and Adobe Premiere Pro CC integration creates super-fast workflows for anyone with the need for immediate content turnaround. Producers can maintain the pristine quality of their footage, mix and match formats freely, and add high-quality editorial effects directly, in the Adobe Premiere Pro CC timeline with a broad range of nonlinear editing features optimized for creative productivity.
