Die Datenbank TEMA Technik und Management ist jetzt ber STN auch in Deutschland, sterreich und der Schweiz zug nglich / FIZ Karlsruhe Leibniz-Institut f r Informationsinfrastruktur und WTI-Frankfurt eG erweitern ihre Kooperation Frankfurt am Main/Karlsruhe, Juli 2011 STN International ist der weltweit f hrende Online-Service f r Forschungs- und Patentinformation. Er wird von FIZ Karlsruhe Leibniz-Institut f r Informationsinfrastruktur gemeinsam mit seinem amerikanischen Partner CAS (Chemical Abstracts Service, Columbus/ Ohio) betrieben und angeboten. Die Datenbank TEMA Technik und Management, die von WTI-Frankfurt eG produziert wird, ist seit vielen Jahren im Angebot von STN International, allerdings bisher nicht f r Kunden aus Deutschland, sterreich und der Schweiz. WTI-Frankfurt eG und FIZ Karlsruhe freuen sich, nun auch dieser Kundengruppe den TEMA-Zugang ber STN seit Juni 2011 anbieten zu k nnen.
Die Datenbank TEMA informiert mit ber 2,4 Millionen Literaturhinweisen zu allen Bereichen der Technik ber Forschung und Entwicklung, Innovationen, neue Produkte und Verfahren, Betriebsf hrung/-organisation und M rkte. Sie geh rt zu den bedeutendsten Informationsquellen f r Ingenieure, Techniker, Wissenschaftler und Manager. Nicht zuletzt wegen ihres hohen Anteils an Nachweisen zur Literatur aus dem D-A-CH-Raum nutzen Informationsspezialisten in Patent- und Forschungsabteilungen TEMA zusammen mit anderen relevanten Datenbanken auf STN, um ein umfassendes Bild von Technologietrends oder einem Technologiebereich zu gewinnen.
TEMA ist in unserem umfangreichen STN-Angebot mit Informationen zu Innovationen und Patenten eine optimale Erg nzung f r unsere Kunden in Deutschland, sterreich und der Schweiz , erkl rt Dr. Rainer Stuike-Prill, Bereichsleiter Marketing und Vertrieb, FIZ Karlsruhe. Sie k nnen in dieser Datenbank mit der hochfunktionalen STN-Suchsprache recherchieren und zur Analyse, Visualisierung und Nachbearbeitung der Ergebnisse unsere exzellenten Software-Tools benutzen.

Die WTI-Frankfurt eG (www.wti-frankfurt.de) ist eine von den ehemaligen Mitarbeitern des insolventen FIZ Technik gegr ndete Genossenschaft. Zum 1. Januar 2011 wurde der Gesch ftsbetrieb aufgenommen. Mit der bernahme der Informationsservices des FIZ Technik geh rt das WTI zu den f hrenden Anbietern von Fachinformationen in Deutschland. Die Genossenschaft befasst sich mit den Themen Wissensbeschaffung, Wissenserschlie ung und Wissensvermittlung. Dazu b ndelt das Unternehmen umfassendes, weltweites Ingenieurwissen in seinen Datenbanken, erschlie t es mit semantischen Technologien und bereitet es f r zielgenaues Auffinden in modernen Suchsystemen auf. Das WTI mit seinem Sitz in Frankfurt am Main und einer Au enstelle in Hannover besch ftigt insgesamt 28 feste Mitarbeiter, sowie rund 200 freie Mitarbeiter f r die Auswertung der Fachliteratur. WTI steht f r Wissenschaftlich Technische Information.
