Cuba has for the first time the Latin American Conference of the AES

Cuba has for the first time the Latin American Conference of the AES Avid will play a leading role in this Conference where professionals from various countries will address issues surrounding the production of audio, from recording to mastering and live events.

On 17 and 18 June, Cuba will host for the first time in the Latin American AES Conference, organized by the Audio Engineering Society and which will take place at the factory of Cuban art of the Cuban capital. This Conference, which has the support of manufacturers as Avid, it will be the culmination, in addition, the third edition of the multi-faceted event AM-PM America by your music.

La semana AM-PM se inicia con un Taller de formaci n de productores musicales que impartir el Departamento de ingenier a y producci n musical del Berklee College of Music, en los Estudios ABDALA, del 12 al 15 de junio.

Despu s habr un Encuentro profesional de productores que se realizar los d as 15 y 16 con participaci n de renombrados productores de Puerto Rico, Ecuador, Argentina, Chile, Cuba, Panam , Venezuela, M xico, Brasil, Colombia y Uruguay.

Finalmente, se llevar a cabo la Conferencia Latinoamericana AES Cuba 2017 los d as 17 y 18 en torno al tema de la ingenier a de sonido, con distinguidos ponentes como: Ian Corbett de Estados Unidos, Valeria Palomino de M xico, Tweety Gonz lez de Argentina, Marcela Zorro de Colombia, Oscar Barrientos de M xico, Javier Longhi de Uruguay y Andr s Mayo de Argentina.

Andr s Mayo, uno de los organizadores de la Conferencia AES Cuba, ha asegurado que ste es el primer evento internacional que la Audio Engineering Society ha organizado en Cuba. El exuberante pulso de la isla ser un excelente fondo s nico para este evento emblem tico .

Por su parte, Valeria Palomino co-organizadora de AES Cuba, a adi que las Conferencias AES Latinoam rica, inauguradas en 2007, se han convertido en un evento importante del calendario anual. Es el punto de reuni n de quienes marcan la pauta en la investigaci n y pr ctica del audio y los estudiantes de la materia para encontrarse, compartir y aprender .

Primera S6L en Cuba

Junto con la noticia del evento de la AES, Avid celebra la reciente venta de la primera S6L para Cuba. La empresa de alquiler y productora de evento OKeventos, fundada por Mauricio Blanco en 1995, adquiri una Venue S6L con capacidad de procesamiento de 192 canales, Tarjeta HDX para procesamiento de efectos, din micos y un rack de escenario Stage 64 (con 64 canales de entrada por 32 de salida).

Blanco reconoce que lo que m s le anim a adquirir esta consola fue la demanda que hay en el mercado por este producto. Tiene las mayores posibilidades de expansi n que existen en el mercado. La integraci n con Pro Tools y otras herramientas de Avid y marcas asociadas la hacen una plataforma muy potente, sobre todo como soporte tecnol gico de calidad superior en los procesos de producci n y postproducci n, sobre todo ahora que Cuba est generando contenidos muy apreciados internacionalmente. Ya hemos realizado sendos proyectos de televisi n y actualmente trabajamos en la continuaci n de las nuevas temporadas de ambos, m s dos nuevos proyectos que se suman. Tener esta mesa nos asegura a n m s nuestra posici n como el centro de alquiler de tecnolog a de sonido n mero uno del pa s y como el proveedor de un servicio reconocido internacionalmente por artistas e instituciones culturales de primer nivel con los que hemos trabajado .

Jos Calles, director regional de Avid, mostr su satisfacci n de que el producto insignia de las consolas de producci n de sonido en vivo de Avid, la consola S6L, ya est disponible en Cuba. El trabajo de VGL, representante de Avid en Chile, fue clave para materializar este gran esfuerzo en la isla. La confianza de OKeventos y su due o, el prestigioso ingeniero de sonido cubano Mauricio Blanco, son la f rmula ideal para lograr el mejor resultado posible. La presentaci n por primera vez de la S6L en Cuba por los colegas de OKeventos, en las conferencias de la AES, permitir comprobar de primera mano esta tecnolog a l der mundial en este segmento del mercado. Es el inicio de un plan para dotar a los muy capaces profesionales cubanos de la mejor tecnolog a de producci n musical del mundo .
