Layercake Deepens Bitmovin Integration to Power End-to-End Media Orchestration with Streamcake

Layercake, the company behind the intelligent media orchestration platform Streamcake, today announced the formalisation of its integration with Bitmovin, a leading provider of video streaming infrastructure, as a core capability within its platform.

While Bitmovin has been successfully deployed within Streamcake-powered workflows, this announcement marks its evolution into a foundational component of Streamcake's end-to-end orchestration layer.

By combining Bitmovin's encoding, playback and analytics capabilities with Streamcake's orchestration and automation engine, Layercake enables organisations to design, deploy and operate complete media workflows across the entire content lifecycle, from ingest through to delivery and playback.

Through a single orchestration layer, Streamcake automates complex processes including ingest, encoding, packaging, DRM, delivery and playback. The result is reduced operational complexity, faster deployment, improved reliability and scalable, cloud-based media operations.

Streamcake acts as the control plane across the Bitmovin ecosystem, enabling dynamic workflow configuration, real-time optimisation and efficient infrastructure management.
